I figured I should get updating my journal for the month out of the way instead of randomly flicking back to this screen and thinking 'Golly, I should write something new and interesting here!' So, here I am!
Hopefully all of you guys are doing well. I have a few questions for you folks out there that I reckon I should get out of the way now. First of all, how are you guys? Are any of you excited for the summertime or have any big plans? And do any of you mind that I'm posting my jewelery stuff here? I know Khrys is enjoying seeing it, but if any of you would rather I keep that on FB and Etsy don't be shy! The last thing I'd like to do is overrun you guys with stuff you don't want to see.
And speaking of things you want to see, I took my sketchbook with me when I had to watch the kiddos overnight and filled up a couple pages with doodles. I should probably get around to scanning it and posting them despite the rustiness of the quality (Eep! Not drawing for a few weeks has a downside!) but I've been putting it off.
My older sister came home from uni a couple days ago so that's always fun. I can't wait to actually spend some time with her. My cousin has a wedding in...June, I think, and she's going to go dress shopping with me since I only own one dress and it's my bridesmaid dress from my other sister's wedding and way too fancy for this :C I'm not looking forward to trying to all the girl shopping, but it has to happen and who knows, it might be fun. I have a fondness for shoes so at least that part'll be alright.
I went out shopping with my other sister for jewellery supplies and found some super neat stuff. I was having a pink day instead of a nautical day and got these amazing pink dangles with gold around them that I can't wait to use. Oh, and a gunmetal kit so I can use the gunmetal butterflies I bought a while ago and couldn't use. When I go home tonight I have my fingers crossed that either my chainmail rings or my other charms/cell charm straps came in. It's seriously better than Christmas for me when I get things in the mail. At this rate I might need a penpal or something to keep things super mega exciting.
Like a week ago I installed photoshop onto the laptop. It's really slow so things are rather awkward to use, but I'm hoping I can churn out the logo for our Etsy store and the mascot. So far Wilda the Whimsical Worm is just a sketch, but she's mohawky and cool so I have my hopes up - even if everything goes wibbly on me. Oh, and I'm going to try and make a smallish plushie of her for the heck of it. I figure it'd make a neat decorative pillow. C:
I feel like I've been MIA online for a while so I hope this lengthy (it feels like it anyhow) journal makes up for it. Have fun doing whatever it is you were, are or about to be doing.
